dearest you,

A short voice message from me to share who I am, what I’ve moved through & how I can help you. — Alison

a little bit about me

& what led me to serving dearest you

To start, I’m a mother, a daughter, a sister, a partner & a friend. I’m also a founder, a multiple award-winning leader, career mentor, regenerative brand strategist & conscious business consultant. These are all of my labels but at my essence I’m a witness to it all & thanks to Offline’s community, I feel useful. I started my career at The Walkley Foundation for Excellence in Journalism before going on to lead & launch some of the world’s largest digital women’s media titles into the Australian market.

It was in this role that I began to explore my True Self. I’d always been spiritually curious but for most of my professional life, I thought I had to hide that part of me

So instead, I did what many of us do — I outsourced my knowing. I led like I was taught to & I grew our audiences through content strategies that fed this idea that we’re not enough. That we don’t know enough. That we need more. And then one day, I just couldn’t do it anymore. I could no longer use my gifts to serve those outdated & unsustainable ideals of success. I could no longer pretend I was someone I wasn’t. So I quit. Hardest thing but ultimately the best thing, because it led me to serving you.

I Climbed The Career Ladder… Now How Do I Get Back Down?

From our community
I am an OG listener & watching your journey/development/guidance is incredibly inspiring. So many of your words have stuck with me as I find myself at a very big fork in the road. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for all that you do. For your words of wisdom & the empowerment you provide. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your response. I found it incredibly valuable & listened to it about five times. I really valued the part about taking intentional action to pull myself into my essence. I am so happy to share that I connected instantly with the interviewer & I am starting work there this week.
Thank you for your glorious voice note. Truly took so much away & it really got me thinking about how to have discussions around salary rather than just throwing out a number, it also tends to be the last question in an interview (which I just experienced today!) so see the importance of closing strong rather than tiptoeing around the topic. Show me the money, honey!
Alison — the voice memo was next level incredible. Thank you so much for sharing so candidly & generously your experience & your journey on this path. The ripples of how this impacts — & will continue to impact & inspire — is immeasurable. Thank you. So wholeheartedly.
